Provision of the website

Use of hosting service providers

Our website is hosted on servers located in the EU by a hosting service provider on the basis of order processing pursuant to Art. 28 EU DS-GVO. The hosting service provider may have access to personal data of our users as part of its services, in particular to technical data that is generated as part of the technical communication between you and our website (e.g. server log files). He may not use these for his own purposes. The use of a hosting service provider is based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f EU DS-GVO in the provision of infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, email dispatch and security services.

When you visit our website or use its services, the device with which you access the page automatically transmits log data (connection data) to our server. The corresponding information consists of:

  • Type and version of the browser you are using,
  • Type and version of the operating system you are using,
  • Referrer URL of the page from which you arrived at our website,
  • Date and time of access to our website,
  • Name of the sub-pages you have accessed,

The collected data is used exclusively for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimization of the offer. For security reasons, however, we reserve the right to subsequently review the log data if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete indications. The data will not be stored longer than necessary for this purpose. This collection is based on our legitimate interests according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f EU DS-GVO.

Cookies

We use so-called cookies in some areas of the SimplyTag in order to recognize visitors' preferences and to be able to design the SimplyTag website accordingly in an optimal and attractive manner. This enables easier navigation and a high degree of user-friendliness of the SimplyTag website. The processing by cookies represents a legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f EU DS-GVO (optimization and economic operation of our online offer). In addition, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU DS-GVO, insofar as we require your consent for the use of cookies (including for marketing or analysis purposes).

Cookies are small text files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your terminal device when you visit our SimplyTag website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Most of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognize your computer the next time you visit us (so-called permanent or cross-session cookies). Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, for you to receive information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests.

You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. If you completely exclude the use of cookies, you may not be able to use individual functions of the SimplyTag.

Security of your data

We use technical and organizational security measures to adequately protect the data you provide against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. We therefore use SSL encryption for the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" as well as by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. Our security measures are further developed according to the state of the art.

Contact

If you contact us (e.g. via contact form, email, telephone, social media), your personal data will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing the request and any associated follow-up questions in accordance with Art. 6 (1) b EU DS-GVO (in the context of pre-contractual measures) or in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f EU DS-GVO (general inquiries). We do not pass on this data without your respective consent.

The data you provide will remain with us until you request us to delete it, object to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (i.e. after we have completed processing your request), provided that this does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations.

Analysis tools

The analysis measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU DS-GVO (consent). With the use of these analysis measures, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the ongoing optimization of SimplyTag. By means of the analysis tools, we record the use of SimplyTag pseudonymously and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer.

Google Tag Manager

The Google Tag Manager is used on our website. Google Tag Manager is a solution from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 Ireland with which we can manage website tags via an interface. The tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain that does not collect any personal data. The Google Tag Manager takes care of triggering other tags, which in turn may collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made by the user at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. The tags used are named separately below and can be edited individually by you in the privacy settings, for example by deactivating cookies for these elements.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 Ireland. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. A deletion of the user and event data takes place automatically after 14 months.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this SimplyTag website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

Browser plugin / objection to data collection

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of SimplyTag. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the SimplyTag (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Order data processing

We have concluded an order data processing contract with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the "demographic characteristics" function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as shown in the item "Objection to data collection".

Google Maps

On our website, addresses are integrated as locations of the Google Maps platform. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 Ireland. The integration of the locations on our website takes place in extended data protection mode. The domain is thereby replaced with the official Maps nocookie domain. When using this variant, information about visitors to the website is only stored when the advanced links are clicked. However, like most websites, Maps uses cookies to collect information about visitors to its website. Maps uses them to collect click statistics, prevent fraud, and improve user experience, among other things.
